Tejas, Brahmos and Astra among 156 defence items cleared for exports
India has cleared 156 defence equipment for exports including the indigenous Light Combat Aircraft Tejas, artillery guns, battle tanks and missiles, anti-tank mines and explosives.
As per a rundown delivered by Defense Research Development Organization (DRDO), there are 19 aeronautical frameworks, 41 armament and combat systems, 4 missile systems, 27 electronic and communication framework, 10 naval systems, 16 Nuclear Biological Chemical equipment NBC and 7 other materials.
Earlier it was the Akash rocket that was given freedom for trades, however, now different rockets have additionally been added.
India is presently trying to at upgrade its exports -focusing on $5 billion of all trades - to improve vital relations with friendly foreign nations.
The strategy also looks at doubling domestic procurement for the Indian industry.
