SC dismisses three fresh PILs filed for the purpose of postponement of NEET 2020.

The Supreme Court has rejected the three freshly filed PILs seeking postponement of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2020 for admissions of students to the undergraduate medical courses which is scheduled to be held on 13th September, 2020. A three judge bench comprising of Justice Ashok Bhushan, Justice R Shubhash Reddy and Justice MR Shah, was to consider the three PILs.
The petitioners stressed on the point that they did not want to get the examinations to be canceled but just want a mere postponement of the exams. On August 17th, a single judge bench headed by Justice Arun Mishra had dismissed the Pleas seeking postponement of the NEET and JEE 2020, stating that “career of the students cannot be put on peril for long”. A review petition that was filed by state Ministers against the order was also rejected on September 5.
