Saudi prince criticizes Israel at Bahrain summit

At a Bahrain security summit, a well-known Saudi prince, Turki appraisal, severely criticised Israel in front of Israel’s Foreign Minister, predicting the challenges that the absence of an independent Palestinian state will bring between the Arab States and Israel.
The Prince's statements were unexpected as the Israelis are usually received warmly in Bahrain and the UAE after agreements bettered their relationship.
However, the relationship between Israel and the Palestinians is conflicted and Palestinians view these agreements as a betrayal by the Arabs.
Prince Turki compared the perception of Israel of being “peace-loving upholders of high moral principles” with the reality of Palestinian being under a “Western colonizing” power.
He criticised Israel's injustice towards Palestinians and talked about how for the most insignificant reasons, they are subjected to concentration camps. Israel is demolishing homes and assassinating people without a cause.
The prince also called out Israel’s hidden armoury of nuclear weapons and the government using their power to slander Saudi Arabia.
Israeli Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi expressed his regret on the comments made. He said that they did not reflect the changes taking place in the middle West.
