Raj Kundra, arrested in a pornography case, will appear in a Mumbai court today



The Mumbai Police crime branch will present businessman Raj Kundra before a local court on Tuesday for police custody. Kundra was arrested by the Mumbai Police on Monday in connection with the alleged creation of pornographic films and their distribution via various apps.

Kundra is Shilpa Shetty's husband, an actor and businesswoman.Kundra will be taken into custody by the Metropolitan Magistrate Court. According to sources, his interrogation could lead to more arrests.

The Mumbai crime branch's Property Cell registered a FIR in connection with the case in February of this year, and nine people were arrested shortly after. According to police officials, Raj Kundra's name came up during the interrogation of the accused.Kundra was summoned for questioning on Monday, after which he was arrested. “We have arrested Raj Kundra in this case on 19/7/21 as he appears to be the key conspirator,” said Mumbai Police Commissioner Hemant Nagrale. We have plenty of evidence to back this up. The investigation is ongoing.”

Nagrale stated that the arrest was in connection with a case filed with Crime Branch Mumbai in February 2021 regarding the production of pornographic films and their distribution via mobile apps.The Metropolitan Magistrate Court will take Kundra into custody. According to sources, his interrogation could result in additional arrests.
