PIL In SC Seeks Order To Stop Online Classes Until Formulation Of Comprehensive Guidelines For Hosting In Encrypted And Safeguarded Manner

A plea has been filed before the Supreme Court seeking guidelines to regulate online classes for small children. Such materials may have a serious bearing on growth and development of the children. It urges the court to stop classes virtually and they are ready to wait till the situation stables. The plea states that there is a growing concern of vulnerability of the small children towards cyber predators, online driven pornographic open websites which are creating a serious problem in the growth of a child. Also, children can easily fall into the trap of cyber crime. Uncountable number of students are not getting the online class facilities because of poor internet connection. Economically poor people are not able to afford necessary things for online classes, this would also impact the overall edilucational system. So, the petitioner prays to frame guidelines to discontinue the classes of children until such guidelines are stipulated.
