Oxygen mock drill causes death of 22 patients in Agra, UP govt orders probe

“I decided to perform an experiment/mock drill since we were running low on oxygen and folks were refusing to release their patients despite repeated requests. On April 26, at 7 a.m., we cut off the oxygen supply for five minutes. Soon after, 22 patients' bodies turned blue and they began gasping for air, indicating that they would not live if oxygen was not available. Then we ask the remaining 74 patients' families to prepare their own oxygen cylinders.” Arinjay Jain, a.k.a. Pandey reacted to the news, stating that an investigation has been ordered and that action will be taken based on the findings.

"We'll investigate the video of these fatalities that has surfaced. There were 22 critically ill patients admitted to the hospital, but no information about their deaths has been provided "The media was briefed by DM Singh.

The District Magistrate stated in a statement that no one died because of a shortage of oxygen on the day the supposed video was taken. He did say, though, that an investigation will be carried out.
