Madras HC issues guidelines to Doctors defrauding the Government
19 oct 2020
A bench consisting of Justices N. Kirubakaran and S. S. Sundar of the Madras High Court stated that post-mortem certificates have to be prepared by the doctors following the procedure as per Article 621 of Tamil Nadu Medical Code.
A report suggesting the preparation of autopsy reports in a shabby and unsystematic manner without being performed by the doctors raised concerns that this could lead to failure of the criminal justice delivery system in the country.
The bench has issued guidelines directing that based on Biometric Attendance only, the salary should be paid depending upon the number of days attended. The salary is to be deducted for days not attended or attended late.
