Ladakh leaders in talks with the Centre demand the reinstatement of Articles 370 and full statehood



In a meeting with the central government on Thursday, political leaders from the Ladakh region expressed their displeasure and anger over the repeal of Article 370 and the dismemberment of Jammu and Kashmir, and demanded the restoration of Articles 370, 35A, and statehood for Ladakh. The talks between Ladakh leaders and Union Minister for State for Home Affairs G Kishan Reddy began at 11 a.m. and ended four hours later at the Home Ministry in New Delhi.We had two plans. The first was the restoration of Article 370 and Article 35A, and the second was statehood for the Ladakh region,” says Asgar Ali Karbali, co-chairman of the Kargil Democratic Alliance.
