Kochi: On Thursday, the Kerala High Court directed the Enforcement Directorate that M Sivasankar, former Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, shall not be arrested in connection to the gold smuggling case until October 23.
Justice Ashok Menon passed the order after the request of ASG for time to file a reply and considering Sivasankar's anticipatory bail plea.
M Sivashankar filed a bail application in which he said his application even after being questioned by central agencies such as the National Investigation Agency and the Customs for nearly 90 hours over 100 days, none of them could find anything condemnatory against him.
M Sivasankar was removed as the Principal Secretary of PMO after allegations of him being involved in a gold smuggling case surfaced last July
