Indian economy is recovering from COVID-19 Crisis; States World Bank President

The World Bank's president, David Malpass, stated on Wednesday that the Indian economy, which was heavily damaged by the COVID-19 pandemic, is now on the recovery. "The waves of COVID were particularly brutal on Indians, which is sad. They replied by producing a large number of vaccinations, and the vaccination programme has made headway. "However, we must acknowledge the impact that COVID has had on the Indian economy, particularly the enormous informal sector," Malpass told reporters today.

He further stated that the COVID-19 has caused supply chain interruption in India, as well as other countries. "We are encouraged by the fact that the Indian economy is improving. It's making its way to the other side of the COVID of the most recent wave. That's excellent. However, India, like other nations, is currently being impacted by supply chain disruptions and global inflation,” Malpass said in answer to a query.
