In the Belagavi district of Karnataka, seven people were killed when a house collapsed

According to the sources five of the seven died on the scene and two died on the way to the hospital. They stated two of the victims were 8-year-old girls.
Basavaraj Bommai, the Chief Minister, expressed regret for the disaster and provided a compensation of Rs 5 lakh for each of the victims.Bommai also advised the district in-charge Minister Govind Karjol to visit the site on Thursday and the district's Deputy Commissioner to take all required precautions.
