According to authorities, a hand grenade incident occurred near the Army's cantonment in Punjab's Pathankot late on Sunday, November 21, 2021, with no casualties reported.Around 9 p.m., motorcycle-borne terrorists threw a grenade near the Triveni gate of the Army's cantonment, triggering a district-wide alert and a search operation to apprehend the perpetrators.
"The hand grenade attack happened at 9 p.m. on Sunday night near the Army's cantonment's Triveni entrance. There has been no loss of life. The CCTV images are being viewed. No arrests have been made yet, and investigations are ongoing, according to Sudrinder Lamba, Senior Superintendent of Police.Mr. Lamba stated that they were leaving nothing to chance and that security in Pathankot and the surrounding areas had been tightened up in order to track down the culprits. In January 2016, heavily-armed terrorists who had smuggled in from over the border assaulted Pathankot airfield in the Pathankot district, which shares an international border with Pakistan.
