Green Delhi" app to curb air pollution

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has launched "Green Delhi" mobile application to curb air pollution which continues to rise in the UT. The application lets people register complaints against activities such as waste burning, dust emissions from construction work, polluting vehicles, industrial pollution, among others. It is available only on Android smartphones at present but the government is trying to expand it to iOS as well. The air quality in Delhi depicts severe air pollution as per the Central Pollution Control Board. The Green Delhi app lets users to upload video and photographs with complaints so that the municipal committee can look towards it. 11 teams have been nominated to keep a close eye on the sale of fire crackers this Diwali.
