Delhi HC orders Delhi Government to ensure communication of COVID testing results within 24 hours

A Division Bench of Justice Hima Kohli and Justice Subramonium Prasad of the Delhi High Court has instructed the Delhi Government to submit a status report explaining how it will ensure that the turn-around time for declaring the results of the coronavirus test is within 24 hours of taking the samples.
The notice was in response to a petition moved by Mr. Rakesh Malhotra.
The court reiterated that all employees in laboratories are to report for work regularly, and they should not self isolate unnecessarily.
According to a statement given by the bench, the results should be communicated over mobile phones within the given time.
The next hearing on the matter will be on November 11.
