Delhi HC issues notice in PIL challenging the decision of DU’s Law faculty to hold exams for the students already promoted to next semester.

Delhi High Court has issued notice in a PIL filed by the students of Faculty of Law DU, challenging the decision of holding exams for the students who have already been promoted to the next semester. A single bench judge of Justice Jayant Nath issued a notice to the faculty of law, University Grants Commissions, Bar Council of India, and the Delhi university.

The PIL filed by some of the students of the law faculty challenges the notification issued on August 25 by the Faculty of law Delhi University, wherein it is confirmed that the exams will be held for the present students of the university upon the reopening of the school. It is argued that the present notification is contrary to the guidelines and the notification issued by the UGC and the Delhi University.
