Delhi HC Directs Arnab Goswami To Exercise Restraint In Tharoor's Plea Seeking Injunction Against Defamatory Broadcasting

Delhi High Court has directed Arnab Goswami to exercise restraint and bring down the rhetoric till the plea filed by Tharoor complaining against demamatory broadcast on Sunanda Pushkar Case. Justice Mukta Gupta said when Investigation of a criminal case is pending , media should refrain from running a parallel trial as it hampers the investigation. Petitioner is seeking interim injunction against Arnab Goswami from reporting any news while the case is pending and also to stop him from dafaming the plaintiff at any cost. Goswami said that Pushkar was murdered and many people opposed that statement as investigation is still going on. His council Ms Malavika Trivedi argued that they have evidence from an AIIMS doctor that confirms the murder of Pushkar. The court directed Goswami to comply with court's previous order and exercise restraint till the next hearing.
