Delhi government to formulate comprehensive action plan to tackle dust pollution

The Delhi government will make a comprehensive action plan intended to handle dust contamination in the city, said state Environment Minister Gopal Rai.
A thorough long term action plan on dust pollution in Delhi will be made. A seven-part board of trustees including specialists from Delhi Pollution Control Committee, IIT Delhi and Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has been framed. A round table meeting is planned for March 4 to talk about the anti-pollution campaign till September.
The brown haze tower at Connaught Place is relied upon to be finished in June. The Public Works Department (PWD) and Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) have worked in coordination to accelerate the work. Delhi government is likewise hoping to strenghten the monitoring of the Green War Room.
Different associations and foundations like the IITs, TERI and Greenpeace will be welcome to the round table meeting for their recommendations on the most proficient method to lead the anti-pollution crusade during the March-September period.
The Air Quality Index (AQI) was still in the very poor classification in the public capital on Friday (February 19).
The System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR) said in its notice that the general Delhi air quality is probably going to remain in the lower end of 'poor' for the following two days and it is probably going to increase on February 20.
