Court live-streaming could be abused, says CJI

Attorney General of India K.K. Venugopal recently made live-streaming of court proceedings accessible to all. This has been objected by CJI S.A. Bobde saying that it is susceptible to abuses. Recently, Gujarat HC passed a judgement making court proceedings open to everyone.
“There are problems which should not be discussed publicly... There are certain abuses... We will take a decision soon enough, otherwise successive Chief Justices [turning to Justice D.Y. Chandrachud who is in line to be CJI] will do,” said Chief Justice Bobde.
The judgment on live-streaming had been given in September 2018. Justice Chandrachud said that live streaming of proceedings is equal to an open court system. The CJI, recently, said that north-eastern parts should be connected to courts via satellite system.
