Bomb, shooting attack in Kabul kill three, say Afghanistan officials
On Tuesday, a bombing and a shotting attack took place in Kabul, the capital of Afghan. Three people including a deputy provincial governor, Mahbobullah Mohibi, were killed.
Tariq Khan, Afghan interior ministry spokesman said that a sticky bomb was attached to Mohibi's vehicle which killed two people and other two were injured.
The deputy provincial governor and the apparent target of the attack, Mahbobullah Mohibi, was killed alongside his secretary while two of his bodyguards were wounded.
The bombing happened in Kabul's Macrorayan neighborhood.
According to Ferdaws Faramarz, spokesperson for Kabul's police chief, in the shooting incident, gunmen shot and killed a police officer and wounded another.
He also said that an an investigation has been undertaken.
The attackers are unknown.
Violence in Afghanistan has increased in recent months. The Taliban and Afghan government negotiators are meeting in Qatar to make a peace deal that could put an end to the war.
