BJP leader seeks to initiate Contempt proceedings against Andhra Pradesh CM

A Supreme Court lawyer and a BJP Leader has written a letter to Attorney general K.K. Venugopal seeking consent to initiate contempt proceedings against Andhra Pradesh CM Y. S Jaganmohan Reddy and his press advisor for making allegations against a Supreme Court judge.
The letter written by the chief minister “Scandalises” the high court and the Supreme Court, as said by the Advocate Upadhyay. Advocate infers that the government is interfering with the judicial proceedings and the administration of justice.
The consent sought from the attorney general is under Section 15(1)(b) of the contempt of courts act, 1971 read with Rule 3 of rules to regulate proceedings for contempt of court, 1975.
Andhra CM crossed the limits by going on street to allege the judicial court. The statements stated by him crossed the line which separates judiciary and the executive.
