Amarinder Singh may launch political party on Wednesday
On Wednesday, former Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh is expected to announce the formation of his own political party. On Tuesday, Amarinder Singh's media adviser Raveen Thukral sent an invitation to the media for Amarinder Singh's press conference in Chandigarh. An 'upset' Amarinder last week announced the formation of his own political party to serve the interests of the people, particularly the farmers who have been battling for their rights for over a year. If the farmers' difficulties are handled in their best interests, the former chief minister said he is confident of a seat-sharing agreement with the BJP for the state's Assembly elections next year. Amarinder went on to say that he would not rest until he was able to ensure the future of his people and his state.
