Santosh Gangwar, Minister of Labour, has resigned from the Union Cabinet


Santosh Gangwar, the Union Minister for Labour, has resigned from the Union Cabinet ahead of the scheduled Cabinet reshuffle this evening. Gangwar resigned from his position as Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Labour and Employment early this morning.

When asked if he had resigned as Labour Minister, Gangwar replied in the affirmative. "I have resigned," he confirmed. He, on the other hand, stated that he has no idea what his new role in government will be.Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to appoint a new Council of Ministers today, in the first major Cabinet reshuffle since the BJP's landslide victory in 2019. In the reshuffle, the Prime Minister is expected to bring in new faces and give representation to various social groups and regions.
