Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways and MSME Nitin Gadkari will be launching new innovative paint which was developed on Tuesday by Khadi and village industries commission at their residence. In a press statement they have mentioned that it paint is basically made from cow dunk as it main ingredients, they have even mentioned that this paint is cost effective and odourless and has also been certified by the bureau of India standards. This paint is currently available in two forms distemper paint and plastic emulsion paint. The company has stated that it main motive is to increase farmers income as the vision of prime Minister 's. In March 2020 the project was conceptualised by the chairman KVIC and was developed by Kumarappa national and handmade paper institute, Jaipur.
The company has stated that this paint is basically free from heavy metals. By using this innovative method the consumption of cow dunk as a raw material will increase and will help farmers earn additional revenue.
In a report the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, the eco-friendly, non-toxic paint, called "Khadi Prakritik Paint" is a first-of-its-kind product, with anti-fungal, anti-bacterial properties.
The company has estimated that around ₹30000 (approx.) per animal to farmers /gaushalas.
