Shares of India's greatest poultry maker Venky's VENK.NS dropped over 4% on Thursday to their least level in two months after an episode of avian flu was accounted for in four states.
Venky's offers succumbed to the fourth consecutive day on Thursday and were exchanging at 1,515.95 rupees, down 2.85%, in the wake of hitting a low of 1495.10 rupees prior in the day.
Avian flu, otherwise called fledgling influenza, was accounted for in the conditions of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh and Kerala, the government said in an assertion.
Kerala has begun winnowing chickens and ducks to contain the infection, while Madhya Pradesh has prohibited imports of poultry items from Kerala for 10 days.
