"I will shoot whoever I see: Myanmar soldiers use TikTok to threaten protesters"
Myanmar soldiers and police are using TikTok to convey death messages to the protesters, which leads the app to announce that it will remove the videos that stir up violence.
One video from late February investigated by Reuters shows a man in an armed force outfit pointing an attack rifle at the camera "I will shoot in your fucking faces... and I'm using real bullets."
"I am going to patrol the whole city tonight, and I will shoot whoever I see... If you want to become a martyr, I will fulfil your wish"
A few recordings have millions of views. Those looked at by Reuters were deleted. Hashtags related to US superstars were also used.
According to industrial data, tik tok is one of the most downloaded apps in Myanmar after Facebook was banned in the country.
