"Centre passed GNCTD Act to punish me for supporting farmers' protest: Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal"
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday (April 4) slamming the Centre alleged that his government was being “punished” for supporting the farmers' agitation against the 3 new farm laws.
During a 'Kisan Mahapanchayat' in Haryana's Jind district, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief claimed that the BJP-led Centre brought the govt. of city Territory of metropolis|city|metropolis|urban center} (Amendment) (GNCTD) Bill to “punish” the Delhi government. The GNCTD Act passed within the Parliament in March, will increase the powers of Delhi’s elected official (LG). The Bill, that says "government" said in any law created by the Old Delhi general assembly can imply LG, was passed within the Lok Sabha on March twenty two.
